Wax bonded heavy duty nylon thread is ideal for use in upholstery. You can find it in just about any color of the rainbow. You do not however need to worry about thread colors unless you are using a top stitch, or a loose stitch that will make it easier to see what's going on with your seam. Having the staples nearby is always important. Black, grey, brown, and white, but you won't find much use for custom colors unless your fucking fancy and extra and providing all that awesome detail in your furniture projects. We build up to moments like those. To start, choose two of each of the staples. One for your machine, and one to thread your bobbin so you don't have to unthread your machine to do that. I rarely change colors of thread in my machine.
