There are two types of poly batting I bounce back and forth from to provide a softness and added thickness and comfort to my foam on all of my upholstered pieces. Thin bond is a lighter more flimsy material, and light bond is a more dense, durable, and thicker material. Thicker and more dense provides more umph to your piece, while a thinner batting will provide just enough softness to allow you to soften the look of your foam. It is also less expensive. I prefer lite bond to thin bond, but still bounce back and forth between the two, relevant to the project I am working on. This batting comes on a 20 lb roll.
